Desecrated hallways
Filled with debris of time
Torn portraits of unknown people
Crushed beneath centuries of dust
Whispers of secrets long forgotten
Still clinging to the shredded tapestries
The wind cries sadly through shattered windows
Sic transit gloria mundi.

Again, an old poem of mine from 2003, altered a bit. Hope you like it Sic transit gloria mundi is latin, and means something along the lines of "Thus, the glory of the world ends" Or shortened to "No more glory". It is not a hundred percent precisely translated, but it is something along those lines! Comments, critique and criticism are very welcome!

This feels like a post-apocolyptic poem. I really enjoyed it. It was short, too the point, but effective. Well done! <3
